Pupillage

Under the Kenyan legal system, the transition from lawyer to advocate is achieved through the successful completion of pupillage and admission to the Roll of Advocates.  IKM offers pupillage opportunities to at least 3 law graduates every year.

Training under our pupillage program exposes the pupil to all aspects of Kenyan legal practice and prepares the pupil for the practice of law in various capacities.  We provide a reasonable allowance to each pupil for basic upkeep.

If you are a Kenyan citizen and will have completed your Bachelor of Laws degree from a regonised university by the official start date of the pupillage program as supplied by the Kenya School of Law, you may forward your application to The Managing Partner for consideration.  We encourage students to apply by the end of May in each year to give ample time for interviews before the start of the program.

We are a non-discriminative, diverse and equal opportunities law firm and encourage applications from students of both genders in both local and foreign universities.
