Cynthia is an emerging Dispute Resolution Advocate in her second year post-admission. She joined the firm of Iseme, Kamau & Maema, Advocates as a Pupil in 2014 and was thereafter retained as an Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution Department. While still at the University, Cynthia was attached at the Kenya Human Rights Commission. She also worked as an Intern at the Office of the Attorney General, in the Civil Litigation Department.

These briefs also involve rendering legal opinions and negotiating out of court settlements on behalf of these insurance companies, in material damage claims, personal injury claims arising from road traffic accidents and industrial accident claims. 
  • Acts for several commercial institutions in debt recovery claims against defaulters. These claims involve rendering legal opinions, preparing pleadings, filing suits in court and also negotiating out of court settlements.
  • Acted for various institutions in defending claims relating to employment law including work injury claims, wrongful dismissal and termination, redundancies etc. The briefs also involve rendering advisory opinions on termination procedures and negotiating out-of-court settlements.
  • Acted for various banks in debt recovery matters and also rendering legal opinions on the same.
